It's been a busy few months at OV-Group — and we're not slowing down.
We're delighted to share details on three new projects that are set to transform hospitality across Wigan. From a community club reborn in Marsh Green to the biggest Irish bar in the town centre, here's what's on the way.
St Thomas' — Marsh Green
St Thomas' Sports and Social Club in Marsh Green is being brought back to life under OV-Group. The club is undergoing a full refurbishment inside and out, with a brand new concert room, a pub suite open seven days a week, a pool room and everything you'd expect from a proper community club — bingo, live entertainment, star nights, Sky Sports, TNT Sports and value-led drinks throughout.
Memberships are available now for just £4 per year, with perks including exclusive member prices, 50% off star night tickets and 10% off in all OV-Group sister venues.
The grand reopening is confirmed for Friday 31st July from 6pm, with bingo and live entertainment on the house.
Kilcoyne's — Market Street, Wigan Town Centre
This is the big one. Four commercial units on Market Street are being merged into a single super premises to create the second Kilcoyne's Irish Bar — and one of OV-Group's most ambitious projects to date.
Sitting right opposite the new Hilton Hotel and the Fettlers development, the Market Street site will bring Irish ales, local ales, multiple pool tables, darts lanes, live sport and live entertainment to the heart of Wigan Town Centre. Works are already underway, with completion timed to align with the wider town centre regeneration.
If you've been to the original Kilcoyne's on Wigan Lane, imagine everything you love about it — but supersized.
The Wallgate — 25 Wallgate, Wigan Town Centre
The Wallgate is a new traditional town centre pub being developed at 25 Wallgate, right in the heart of Wigan's famous Wallgate. Set to open towards the end of summer 2026, the site is already in the demolition and rip-out stage before undergoing major investment.
The pub will span two floors with an intimate but spacious layout, offering sports, entertainment, real ales and some unique staples that we're keeping under wraps for now. This is going to be a proper staple of Wigan Town Centre.

These three projects join a growing portfolio of venues that now includes The Raven, Greenland Fishery, Lady Mabels, Cherry Gardens, Kilcoyne's Wigan Lane, Prince of Wales, Whitesmiths Arms, Soul Time and The Bowling Green.
